Stevenson…Marks The Spot!
Geography Club Wins Third Interstate Bowl

In front of a large crowd at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Stevenson’s Geography Club recently won the Interstate Geography Bowl for the third time in school history, going undefeated through the entire competition.

The team, captained by Matthew Lewis, defeated Park High School from Racine, Wisconsin in a tight final match. In addition to Lewis, the team was led by Ryan Barua, Michael Intelegator, Sarah Kogan, Cliff Yuan and Harikesh Prasad.

There was another Stevenson team at the competition and that team finished 7-4 and just missed the finals. That team included four-year veterans of the Geography Club: Johnathan Franke Gordon, Karam Fattouhi, Alisha Chowdhary, Rithvik Vijay, Bharat Pappu and Preeti Rao.

Spring Fling Slings Stevenson Into Summer With FUN!

Stevenson was popping last Friday with excitement during the capper to the annual year-end Spring Fling Spirit Week, a day that included an assembly with games and giveaways and the after-school field day that included food, inflatables, music and team competitions of kickball, volleyball and frisbee.

Pitch Perfect!
Entrepreneurial Tactics Classes Held “Pitch Day” Last Week

They all believed they had brilliant ideas, and last week, students in Stevenson’s Entrepreneurial Tactics classes had the chance to sell investors on those ideas, too.

Students created business ideas and worked with local business owner mentors throughout the Second Semester to create their business pitches. Fourteen teams of students presented their pitches to a panel of inventors ~ Bruce Lubin (former Stevenson School Board Member/President), Jon Hermes and Marc Roth.

The Solar Mower group (members Erum Ahmed, Sam Cusumano, Ashmit Shitole, John Stembal and Ameer Takieddin) won the designation of “Best Presentation.”

The GrownUpedia group (members Ben Alon, James Angelos, Eunchan Chang and Nicholas Sevcik) won the designation of “Best Idea.”
