Marketing Class Hits Home Run With Field Trip!
It was a day at the ballpark for marketing students from Stevenson earlier this week as they visited Impact Field in Rosemont, home of the independent baseball team the Chicago Dogs, to learn about working in the sports and entertainment industry.
They heard from team owner Shawn Hunter, who spoke about his experience working for organizations such as the Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets and AEG Sports. This trip aligned with the marketing class’s sports marketing unit and students gained valuable insight on what it would be like to work in the sports and entertainment industry.
After the presentation, students enjoyed a day at the ballpark where the Dogs played the Kane County Cougars. This was a part of the Dog’s “Home Run For Education Day” in which students from all over the Chicagoland area attended.
