Stevenson Strummin’: Guitar Concert On Tap For TOMORROW It will be truly a group effort during TOMORROW’s Chamber Guitar Concert, slated for a 7 p.m. start in the West Auditorium. Members of Guitar 2 and the Patriot Guitar Ensemble will be performing chamber music that highlights the students working in small groups, making musical decisions, rehearsing, and performing pieces that they worked on as a group. Fashion Show Meeting TODAY!
The 2023 Fashion Show Leadership Team is ready to start planning for Stevenson’s upcoming Fashion Show. Do you want to be a part of it?
There will be a volunteer and model meeting at 3:30 p.m. TODAY in Room 1612. The show needs students who are willing to model, do hair and make-up and volunteer for hospitality, photography, staging and more!
The show is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2 in the Performing Arts Center. This event is organized and planned by Stevenson students and the members of the Stevenson Styler Fashion Club.
The show also operates as a charity event, raising money for Dress For Success, an organization that provides education, job support and professional clothing for underserved women in the Chicagoland area.

Fine Arts Division Needs Your Odyssey Ideas…By May 15! Got a great idea for an Odyssey 2024 Workshop? Starting TODAY, the Fine Arts Division is accepting applications and recommendations for Odyssey 2024 artists and workshop ideas. Odyssey, Stevenson’s biennial arts festival, features more than 50 performances and 650 hands-on workshops during two school days in February, for all Stevenson students to attend. Odyssey is scheduled for February 13 and February 14, 2024. Students, faculty, and staff may use the Odyssey Form to suggest artists and submit workshop ideas. You are encouraged to share favorite Midwest-based artists, bands, performers, authors, and filmmakers for consideration. Stevenson club sponsors, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as professional guest artists, may apply to teach or present at Odyssey by completing an Odyssey Form by May 15. |

Seniors: The College Career Center is hosting a series of College of Lake County Workshops throughout the Spring Semester.
A reminder to those who have already applied and been accepted…here are a few important dates coming up:
TOMORROW ~ English Placement Exam: 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon (the exam takes about 45 minutes to complete) ~ Room 1313
March 23 ~ Math Placement Exam: 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. (the exam takes most students 1 to 2 hours to complete) ~ Room 1313

Get Ready For One Act Auditions: Next Week
Auditions for the One Act Plays will be held after school next Monday (March 20).
This year there will be six entirely student-written, directed and designed plays and musicals. Each play rehearses only two to three days each week in April, and there are no cuts for this production. Everyone who auditions will be cast!
To audition, prepare a 30-second monologue, as well as 30 seconds of a song if you are auditioning for a musical. Learn more and sign up here.

Help Your Peers! Apply To Be A Peer Helper In 2023-24!
Looking for a way to give back…right here on campus?
Apply to be a Peer Helper for the 2023-24 school year and help fellow Stevenson students better enjoy their high school experience. Applications are due MARCH 25.
Peer Helpers are leaders who show great character, kindness and an openness and appreciation for others, as well as maturity, responsibility, leadership, empathy, a healthy lifestyle and a commitment to peers, school and community. They staff the Student Lounge, a safe place students go to talk, relax, obtain resources or eat their lunch. The program offers support for students by providing peer counseling and school-wide campaigns.
Peer Helpers are sophomores through seniors who are selected after an application/interview process that includes faculty recommendations.
Members must complete a 3-day summer training, attend weekly meetings and staff the student lounge during lunch periods once to twice per week.
Design The New Spirit Wear T-Shirt: Deadline March 26! Are you artistic? Do you have a cool, Stevenson-themed design in mind? Now’s your chance to have your design plastered all over T-shirts throughout school! The Patriot School Store needs help designing a new Stevenson Spirit Wear T-shirt! Submit a design for the 2023 Spirit Wear T-Shirt Contest! There will be two rounds of voting. In the first round, all submissions will be voted on by Stevenson students, faculty and staff. In the second round, the top two designs will face-off for a final vote. The winning T-shirt design will be available for purchase in the Patriot School Store. The winner will receive their T-shirt FREE! Rules: One entry per student, black or white t-shirt only, front design only. Designs are subject to modifications by the vendor. NOW THROUGH APRIL ~ Project Cutlery: Green Team is concerned about plastic utensil use at Stevenson. The club has organized a raffle running now through April for students who submit a photo of the reusable utensil they use at Stevenson through this form. Those submissions are entered for a chance to WIN a solar-powered portable charger! There will be THREE randomly selected winners who will be notified in April. Submitted photos MUST show use AT STEVENSON in order to be considered.

Sports Results
Boys Track and Field: The Patriots hosted a triangular against St. Viator and Wauconda and won with a score of 102 points. In the triple jump, Stevenson placed first, second and third with Alex Moser, Alex Xie and Alex Chang sweeping the top spots respectively. In the high jump, Steve Freihammer placed second, jumping at 1.68 meters. Taking first in the shot put, Ethan Aghakhan tossed a 13.53 meters. In the track events, Marcus Caselberry placed first in the 60-meter hurdles and the 60-meter dash with a 9.18 and 6.58 respectively. Stevenson then led the way for the rest of the meet with Ty Henderson taking first in the 800-meter run, Jeff Danison placing first in the 300-meter dash and Nicholas Gawor winning the 60-meter IM hurdles. In the 1600-meter run, Dylan Zimmerman finished first with Ricky Klein, on his heels the entire race, taking second. The final race on the day was the 4×400 relay which was won by Stevenson with a 3:51.63. Next up is a dual meet against Lake Zurich on April 4, starting at 4:45 p.m.
