Winterfest Week Fun Continues!
We are keeping the momentum going with our 80s vibe and fun with this week’s Winterfest Week activities! If you didn’t get a chance to “twin” on Monday or wear pink yesterday, no worries. We got more themed spirit days and activities to bring all of our students together. Check out those activities below!
DANCE TICKETS
Early-bird pricing of $25 runs through FRIDAY. Tickets are $40 at the door.
THEME DAYS
Toss the backpacks for something a little different tomorrow. Maybe it’s a basket? Or a wagon? Last year, we even saw a garbage bin! It’s Anything But a Backpack Day tomorrow! Check back on Student Council’s custom Winterfest Website for more info on the rest of this week’s spirit days!
ACTIVITIES
TODAY ~ Student Council will host “Ring Toss.” There’s also a “Coloring Activity” during all lunch periods in the Wood Commons.
TOMORROW ~ Student Council will host “Spin the Wheel,” and the Junior Class Board will host chess games tomorrow! Both activities take place during all lunch periods in the Wood Commons.
Winter Choir Concert To Channel Its Inner Disney!
There’s a Disney fan in all of us. This is our community’s final reminder about the Winter Choir Concert, scheduled for a 7 p.m. start TONIGHT in the Performing Arts Center. The choir will perform a variety of choral literature from the classics to…Disney. All of Stevenson’s Choir Classes ~ Stevenson Choir, Advanced Choir and Patriot SIngers ~ will perform, under the direction of Alice Nuteson and Kirstin Snelten. Concessions sold at the concert will serve as a fundraiser. The concert can also be viewed via Vimeo.

Did you know that aerobic activity (cardio) occurs any time you move your body? From walking to running, swimming to skiing, gardening to walking the dog, your heart pumps blood and oxygen to all muscles in your body to keep you moving.
Daily aerobic activity enhances your mood, improves health, and helps you balance stress. At the PWC Cardio Mezzanine, we have all the options for you to engage in aerobic activity. We have over 80 pieces of aerobic equipment, including:
- Treadmills
- Air bikes
- Ellipticals
- Stair steppers
- Rowers
The PWC Cardio Mezzanine also boasts a TRX Rack to improve strength and muscle endurance. There’s also plenty of open space for stretching. Finally, the PWC Cardio Mezzanine is the home of our Cardio Fitness Room, where we host Yoga every Wednesday and Friday after-school.
Join us on the third floor of the PWC on the PWC Cardio Mezzanine anytime the PWC is open after-school from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Monday – Thursday, until 6 p.m. on Fridays, and on the weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Don’t forget that the capstone of Black History Month is happening tomorrow! Operation Black History Month, our annual celebration about Black culture, will kick off at 3:30 p.m. in Room 2104, with fun activities and food from a local restaurant. Then, the festivities will roll right into student performances, starting at 5:15 p.m. in the West Auditorium. This event is open to ALL Stevenson students. We hope to see everyone there! |

MARCH 8: Deadline To Register For Second-Semester AP Tests
MARCH 10″ Deadline For Odyssey Logo Contest Submission: Design the 2024 Odyssey Logo. Submissions will be accepted now through Friday, March 10. Prize is $150! More information about Odyssey and the logo contest can be found on the Odyssey website.

MARCH 4 ~ Deadline To Register For Team For Kilometers For Kenya This is a walking/Running Competition, sponsored by National Honor Society, that will be held on March 11 in the Fieldhouse. Make a donation.
EVENTS
SATURDAY: Registration is open until this Saturday for Stevenson’s annual 24-hour shsHacks! This year, shsHacks will be March 4 and March 5 from noon to noon and is open to ALL Stevenson students. Visit the website shshacks.io for more info!
THIS WEEKEND: Tickets are on sale now for the Patriot Theatre Company’s Winter Play production of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.” The show will run Friday, March 10 at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 11 at 2 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 12 at 2 p.m. Seating is limited so get your tickets ($7 apiece) now.

Boys’ Swimming/Diving State Championship: Come support the boys’ swimming and diving teams this weekend at state!! Jack Curtin, Jonny Farber, David Kohan, Olin Kusevskis, Jack Motl, Finlay Oyston, Liam Plautz, Diego Rosario-Freytes, Danny Silverstein, Sirui Wang, Michael Wywrocki, and Colin Zhang ALL qualified for the state championships. |
The Patriots start with the diving competition on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. and prelim tickets can be purchased at GoFan. Swimming prelim tickets, available on Friday, can be purchased at this GoFan link. The IHSA State Finals will take place at FMC Natatorium in Westmont. |
Girls’ Wrestling: Sajra Sulejmani will head to the IHSA State Championship this weekend at Grossinger Motor Arena in Bloomington for the girls wrestling competition. Tickets are $9 and can be purchased here. The action starts at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning. |
Boys’ Hockey. The Patriots begin the AHAI State Playoffs on Thursday against Glenbrook North 2 at Twin Rinks. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door. |
Boys’ Basketball: The Patriots will head to Lake Zurich HS tonight for the IHSA Regional semifinals against Highland Park. Tip off is at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at GoFan. The game will also be livestreamed at Lake Zurich Athletics’ YouTube channel. |
