Winterfest Week Fun Continues!
We are keeping the momentum going with our 80s vibe and fun with this week’s Winterfest Week activities! If you didn’t get a chance to “twin” on Monday or wear pink yesterday, no worries. We got more themed spirit days and activities to bring all of our students together. Check out those activities below!
Early-bird pricing of $25 runs through FRIDAY. Tickets are $40 at the door.
Toss the backpacks for something a little different tomorrow. Maybe it’s a basket? Or a wagon? Last year, we even saw a garbage bin! It’s Anything But a Backpack Day tomorrow! Check back on Student Council’s custom Winterfest Website for more info on the rest of this week’s spirit days!
TODAY ~ Student Council will host “Ring Toss.” There’s also a “Coloring Activity” during all lunch periods in the Wood Commons.
TOMORROW ~ Student Council will host “Spin the Wheel,” and the Junior Class Board will host chess games tomorrow! Both activities take place during all lunch periods in the Wood Commons.
Winter Choir Concert To Channel Its Inner Disney!
There’s a Disney fan in all of us. This is our community’s final reminder about the Winter Choir Concert, scheduled for a 7 p.m. start TONIGHT in the Performing Arts Center. The choir will perform a variety of choral literature from the classics to…Disney. All of Stevenson’s Choir Classes ~ Stevenson Choir, Advanced Choir and Patriot SIngers ~ will perform, under the direction of Alice Nuteson and Kirstin Snelten. Concessions sold at the concert will serve as a fundraiser. The concert can also be viewed via Vimeo.
Did you know that aerobic activity (cardio) occurs any time you move your body? From walking to running, swimming to skiing, gardening to walking the dog, your heart pumps blood and oxygen to all muscles in your body to keep you moving.
Daily aerobic activity enhances your mood, improves health, and helps you balance stress. At the PWC Cardio Mezzanine, we have all the options for you to engage in aerobic activity. We have over 80 pieces of aerobic equipment, including:
- Air bikes
- Stair steppers
The PWC Cardio Mezzanine also boasts a TRX Rack to improve strength and muscle endurance. There’s also plenty of open space for stretching. Finally, the PWC Cardio Mezzanine is the home of our Cardio Fitness Room, where we host Yoga every Wednesday and Friday after-school.
Join us on the third floor of the PWC on the PWC Cardio Mezzanine anytime the PWC is open after-school from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Monday – Thursday, until 6 p.m. on Fridays, and on the weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
|Don’t forget that the capstone of Black History Month is happening tomorrow!|
Operation Black History Month, our annual celebration about Black culture, will kick off at 3:30 p.m. in Room 2104, with fun activities and food from a local restaurant. Then, the festivities will roll right into student performances, starting at 5:15 p.m. in the West Auditorium. This event is open to ALL Stevenson students. We hope to see everyone there!
