Take-Over Time!
Munkhbavar To Run Stevenson’s Main Instagram Account

For four years, senior Ashley Munkhbavar (below right) has been a part of the Class Boards at Stevenson. She has helped plan and run many activities and events.

So far, Senior Showcase ranks right up there among her favorites, and she’s ready for even more fun as she takes over Stevenson’s main Instagram account TONIGHT to give a behind-the-scenes look at the annual talent competition.

“Planning the Senior Showcase this year has been one of my favorite events we’ve ever carried out,” Munkhbavar said. “There were a lot of factors going into organizing this show from writing scripts, teaching the group dance, sound checks, and taking care of things backstage. A big part I was involved in was getting content to advertise on our social media accounts. This included filming interviews with the contestants and filming their progress with the group dance.

Munkhbavar is a Student Representative for the Senior Class Board. She has served on the Executive Board since her sophomore year and as the Vice President and Student Representative junior and senior year.

“As a class board, we have learned a lot and know what it takes to run a successful event,” Munkhbavar said. “It’s been great seeing the (Senior Showcase) contestants get to know each other and work together to create a fun show and their hard work will definitely pay off (tonight)!”

Remembering Irie
Animal Welfare Club To Honor Search And Rescue Dog TUESDAY

It was an annual tradition for the Animal Welfare Club: a visit from Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Firefighter-Paramedic Michael Vitale and his search and rescue dog, Irie.

Their visit for this year was scheduled long ago, but sadly, Irie was then diagnosed with kidney failure and died this past November.

Irie was very well known, respected and loved in this area and was given a full decorated funeral service.

The Animal Welfare Club was not sure if Vitale would be up to keeping his scheduled visit at Stevenson, but he is and will be here from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on TUESDAY in Room 6110 with his new search and rescue puppy.

The Animal Welfare Club will be presenting Vitale with a small “In Memory of Irie” remembrance. Stop by and give your regards to Mr. Vitale and meet his new pup!
