Love Is In The Air: “Romeo And Juliet” Debuts TONIGHT!
February is the month of LOVE, so what better way to celebrate that than to attend a Stevenson play that is all about LOVE: “Romeo And Juliet!”
The production will feature three shows, running TONIGHT (7 p.m.), TOMORROW (7 p.m.) and SATURDAY (7 p.m.) in the Little Theater.
Join the Patriot Theatre Company as it shares the classic tale of the ever famous “star-crossed lovers” through this abridged, one-act, one-hour version of Shakespeare’s original “Romeo And Juliet.”
Conceptualized in a celestial world where the day and the night are indefinitely separated and ushered by popular and favored music of today’s era, this Freshmen/Sophomore production will help the audience reimagine how love can indeed be born from hate.
Tickets are $7 and are available on GoFan.
This is a fundraiser event with snacks and water on sale for $2 apiece or 3 items for $5.
History Bowl/Bee Finishes Strong At Tournament On Campus
For history buffs, the National History Bowl/Bee rewards students who can make connections across eras, places, and themes in history while competing in quiz-style tournaments.
Stevenson hosted one of those such tournaments last weekend, the Chicago Winter Regional History Bowl/Bee Tournament, and the home team made a strong showing.
The Varsity A History Bowl/Bee Team of seniors Christian Epure, Aadit Juneja, Dhruv Pendharkar and Rishabh Wuppalapati won second place in the Bowl competition.
In the individual Varsity History Bee competition, Wuppalapati took first place, Epure finished in second place and Pendharkar finished in fourth place.
In the Junior Varsity History Bee competition, sophomore Ryan Barua took second place.
