It’s already very well known that Stevenson is an elite academic institution that also provides top-notch interscholastic athletic opportunities to its students.

But there is so much more to Stevenson that might not be as obvious, especially to newcomers. Whatever you are looking for, from after-school activities to wellness services to academic help to career development, Stevenson has it all and takes seriously its commitment to assisting in the complete, A-to-Z development of its students.

After school, Stevenson provides programming that includes a comprehensive list of nearly 150 co-curricular clubs and intramurals, everything from Archery to Flag Football to Latin Club to the Sports Broadcasting Club and so much more.

The brand new Patriot Wellness Center has put together services that cover everything from fitness to mindset to sleep and nutrition.

Need support socially, emotionally or academically? Stevenson offers a Student Lounge for a safe, comfortable place to hang out during school, counseling programs through Student Services and tutoring at the Information And Learning Center. 

And the College Career Center provides Stevenson students an invaluable service by curating all kinds of career opportunities ~ from after-school and summer jobs to internships. 

So, take advantage of everything that Stevenson has to offer during your career here. There are so many extras that make this school special!
Learn More About Fitness: Sign Up For PWC’s Foundations Of Fitness 

Get the most out of the Patriot Wellness Center and learn about the fundamentals of effective movement and exercise.

Foundations of Fitness Training will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 pm., starting Sept. 6 and running through Sept. 29 for eight sessions. Registration is NOW OPEN through Sept. 6 and the program is free.

Want To Get Into Healthcare? HOSA New Member Meeting Tomorrow

Are you interested in health care? Are you looking for a competition to join? Are you looking for a way to give back through service? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should join HOSA (Future Health Professionals)!

Stevenson HOSA meets before school from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m every Wednesday in the Recital Hall. The first meeting, for new members only, is at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow in the Recital Hall.

HOSA is an international organization focused on helping educate, inform, and inspire those interested in any health profession. Competitions take place at the regional, state, and even the international level. New Member Meetings Start Tomorrow For FBLA

Interested in service activities, networking and business opportunities? Consider joining Stevenson’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), which is hosting new member meetings tomorrow and Sept. 7 in Room 2104 at 7:45 a.m. both days.

Future Business Leaders of America is a national organization that helps students prepare for college and careers through a variety of leadership, community service, and academic activities. Members learn more about the functions of business, improve their presentations skills, and exercise their creativity in hands-on simulations, competitions, and networking events with students and professionals from across the country.
Bullseye! Archery Club Takes Aim On A New Season

The Archery Club is looking to get back on point with its first meeting of the new school year tomorrow after school from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Room 5044.

No experience is required to join, so go check it out!
Calling All Sports Gamers: eSports Club Meeting Tomorrow

From Madden to Minecraft, the eSports Club has you covered.

The first informational meeting of the eSports Club will be at 4 p.m. tomorrow in Room 7026.

Games played include: League of Legends, Valorant, CSGO, R6, Rocket League, Hearthstone, Minecraft, Brawlhalla, Halo Infinite, Madden(PS4), NBA2K, SuperSmashBros, Splatoon2, MarioKart8 and Overwatch.
Get Amped Up! AMPlified Hosting First Meeting Tomorrow!

Calling all aspiring musicians! If you’re looking for performance opportunities, service, or just a chill jam session with your friends, join Stevenson AMPlified, which will be meeting after school tomorrow in Midi Lab Room 2201.

Stevenson AMPlified combines service with your love of music. During meetings, you’ll have time to learn performance concepts which will then translate into forming groups to practice for a performance! Performances include Streetfest, Give-a-thon, nursing homes, and many more throughout the year.

Typically, AMPlified meets every Thursday after school in the Midi Lab. But again, this first meeting will take place tomorrow after school.
Key Club’s First Capstone Meeting Is TomorrowKey Club is having its first Capstone Meeting of the school year at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow in Room 5132 and is looking forward to providing information about the largest service community Stevenson has to offer!

Key Club is an international service organization devoted to service, leadership, and building connections while providing meaningful service activities such as tutoring, volunteering at senior living homes, creating packages for the homeless, and volunteering at local events.
Got A Green Thumb? Horticulture Club Meets Tomorrow

If gardening, learning about plants and eating healthy options from the garden is your thing, you’ll love Horticulture Club, which helps make Stevenson a community with a focus on beautiful gardens and sustainable gardening practices. The club is hosting its first meeting of the new school year from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. tomorrow in Room 8000.

All students are welcome to visit the new green roof gardens and greenhouse spaces, as well as learn how to transplant pansies that will be used in campus planters later this fall. 

Throughout the year, members also perform science experiments to learn about plants and plant diversity, while growing their own plants and engaging in fresh food preparation.
Satisfy That Sweet Tooth! PPA Bake Sale Is Tomorrow!

Yep, the Bake Sales are BACK!

The Patriot Parent Association will be hosting its Bake Sales again this year and the first one of the new school year is tomorrow, starting after sixth period in the Wood Commons and the Glass Commons. 

Everything is $1 and cash or Patriot Dollars are accepted. Students can make it through the line quickest with cash! 
Busy Friday Night: Night of Champions; Cal’s Angels Fundraiser

As part of a slate of athletic contests on Friday that includes a boys soccer match and the football team’s home opener, the Stevenson Athletic Department will host the tenth “Night Of Champions” event, which recognizes team and individual division, conference, Lake County, regional, sectional and state champions from the 2021-22 school year.

The event will begin at approximately 6 p.m., after the Sophomore Boys Soccer match against St. Viator and prior to the Varsity Football game against New Trier.

Meanwhile, in an effort to raise awareness of pediatric cancer, Stevenson Athletics is partnering with Cal’s Angels for a “Gold Out.” We’re hoping that all Stevenson fans will come out to cheer on the Patriots in their Stevenson Gold! Cal’s Angels T-shirts will be sold on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during lunch periods in the Wood Commons and Glass Commons for $10 each.

For Tickets: Fans will be able to purchase one ticket, that will be good for both the soccer game and football game! Purchase tickets in advance through GoFan or use your Booster Pass (see story below) to gain access to the games and festivities on Friday! Live Broadcast: Can’t be at the football game? Stevenson’s Sports Broadcasting Club will be broadcasting the game live on SHS-TV via YouTube.
First Home Football Game Is Friday: Activity Tickets And Booster Passes Are Available For Purchase

Have you bought your activity ticket/booster pass yet?

Stevenson’s football home opener is at 7 p.m. on Friday against New Tier and fans can use GoFan to purchase tickets.

Here are your options for entry to football games:
1. Visit GoFan and purchase single-game tickets, which are available at three prices (adults, students and seniors).
2. Visit GoFan and purchase the SHS student event season pass, which allows for admission into all home football games as well as all Stevenson home athletic contests for the entire school year, except for IHSA state playoff events.
3. Visit GoFan and purchase the Booster Family Pass, which allows for admission into all home football games, as well as all Stevenson home athletic contests, for four people (including students) for the entire school year, except for IHSA state playoff events.
How To Join Girls Ice Hockey For The 2022-23 Season

Hockey season is just around the corner! And for girls who want to play hockey, there is an excellent option for Stevenson students.

The Scouts, based in Lake Forest, is a combined high school team consisting of girls from Stevenson, Deerfield, Highland Park, Lake Forest, Libertyville and Woodlands Academy. The Scouts are led by coaches Jacque Rogers and Jordan Trapp, both Lake Forest College graduates and former players on the college women’s hockey team. The Scouts’ first full practice will be from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8. Regular home ice times will be Monday, Thursday and Sunday evenings with a total of approx. 65 ice touches for the fall season. All home events will take place at Lake Forest College, 555 N Sheridan Rd in Lake Forest. There is a program and one-time uniform fee associated with membership.All players will need to register with USA Hockey and obtain a USA Hockey number.
