Planet Stevenson To Host Freshmen Mixer Tomorrow!
To all of the astronauts who just landed on “Planet Stevenson” (aka THE FRESHMEN): Please join your new classmates and your senior FMP mentors from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow night at the Pool Deck Patio for the annual Freshmen Mixer.
There will be music, dancing, snacks and much, much more! There is no need to RSVP or register.
Please enter through Circle Drive, and bring your school ID for admission. This event is a lock-in, which means that students will not be permitted to leave early.
Seniors: Want Help With The College Application Process? The CCC Has You Covered!
School may have just started, but many Seniors are already starting to think about applying to college and how to do so.
The College Career Center will hold its annual Senior Parent/Guardian Night from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29. This event will be held in the Performing Arts Center and also live-streamed through Zoom. It is open to all parents and guardians of seniors at Stevenson. This presentation will be recorded. Within one week it will be posted on the CCC website with the slides.

Stevenson Foundation Is Bringing Award-Winning Nashville Songwriters to Austin’s for Private Acoustic Performance
Calling all Stevenson parents and adults: Are you in the mood for a taste of Music City? Table sales are now OPEN for the first-ever Nashville Unplugged event! This unique, in-the-round performance, presented by the Stevenson Foundation, brings four award-winning songwriters to The Impact Fuel Room at Austin’s in Libertyville at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Guests who are 21 and over will enjoy an extraordinary night of chart-topping country and rock music and hear the unique stories behind tracks like Aerosmith’s “Jaded”, “She’s Country” by Jason Aldean, Lee Brice’s “A Woman Like You”, “You Broke Up With Me” by Walker Hayes, “Undo It” by Carrie Underwood, and more.
Tables for four are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to sell out quickly. Premier low-boy tables are $1,000 each (rows 1-2) and standard high-boy tables are $600 each (rows 3-6). The evening includes heavy appetizers and an open bar. Want Ice Pops And Sunglasses? Come To the Grand Re-Opening Of The Student Lounge Tomorrow!
The Student Lounge next to the College Career Center will again be open this school year during all lunch periods every school day!
A grand re-opening event with an “Ice Pops and Sunglasses” giveaway will take place tomorrow during all lunch periods and the Lounge will officially open on Monday.
As a quick reminder, the Peer Helpers staffs that space and the Lounge is there for any students who would like to relax, eat lunch, play games, or meet new friends! Please encourage all your friends to check out the space!
Hey Patriots! Don’t forget: The brand new Patriot Wellness Center is open not only for physical welfare classes…but the fitness areas will also be open to ALL STUDENTS after school.
Hours of operation for the Patriot Wellness Center are:
~ Monday through Thursday: 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
~ Friday: 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
~ Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Remember: Before school and during periods 1 through 8, the PWC will be an academic space for physical welfare classes. So, if you’re interested in using the PWC during the school day, join a physical welfare class.
For students interested in working out after school, we offer a variety of effective movement programs for all skill levels and interests. In addition, we will allow you to vote on the group classes you want to see offered starting in October.
Options to vote on include: yoga, group fitness, pilates, HIIT, and more.

Work Behind The Scenes At Stevenson’s Three Fall Productions; Information Meeting Today
Love theatre, but are more of the quiet type who would feel more comfortable behind the scenes?
Stevenson’s Patriot Theatre Company invites you to join Stevenson Backstage as a crew member for the three upcoming productions this fall: “Beauty And The Beast,” “Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland” and “Clue.”
Crew members will work on the set, tend to costumes, lighting, sound and props and assist with running the show as well. Schedules vary based on show and crew assignment.
There is a crew information session at 3:45 p.m. today in the Performing Arts Center with the Patriot Theatre Company Kickoff Event to follow at 6 p.m.

Are You a Student-Athlete With an Eye on College Sports?
Athletes who are interested in furthering their athletic career at the collegiate level: this NCAA Eligibility Workshop is for you! This workshop will help athletes understand the NCAA requirements for sports and provide more information on the insights of recruiting.
The workshop will take place Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Warren Township High School’s O’Plaine Campus Auditorium (500 N. O’Plaine Road in Gurnee). See you there!
Mark Your Calendars: Mandatory Student-Athlete Meeting Coming Up
All 2022-23 student-athletes are required to attend ONE general informational meeting during the school year. The first one is scheduled for Aug. 25 from 9:45 a.m. to 10:15 am in the West Auditorium.
Attendance will be taken.
The full meeting schedule is: Sept. 15, Oct. 20, Nov. 17, Dec. 8, Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, and April 20.
VIP Will Be On Campus This Week For Fall Sports Photos
Athletic teams at Stevenson will be having their pictures taken this week.
Once pictures are taken, athletes’ photos will be posted online within 3 weeks of the photo day for viewing and ordering. Please click here to sign up for an e-mail notification of when your photo is ready to view and order.
