Save The Date: Open House Is Just Around The Corner
Stevenson will be hosting parents and guardians of all students at its annual Open House, which will be held this year on two dates, starting next week.
In an e-mail that was sent out last Thursday, and can now be found on the Stevenson website, the details for Open House were fully explained. Open House runs from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.:
Last Names A – L attend on Wednesday, Aug. 24
Last Names M – Z attend on Thursday, Sept. 1
Prior to the start of both Open House evenings, freshman and transfer student families are invited to meet with their child’s counselor from 6:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Your child’s counselor may be found via the Infinite Campus portal.
If you have a calendar conflict with the designated Open House evening, please feel free to attend on the other date. There is no need to inform us of the change. We encourage all parents to attend one of the two nights.
Maps of the entire school will be provided at all main entrances to facilitate your visit, or your student may pick up a map prior to Open House in Room 2400 or Room 3046. We will also have students from our Freshman Mentor Program stationed throughout the two buildings to help direct you to any location.
Parking will be available on campus, but it is limited. Parking is also available at the Quill Corporation parking lot just south of Rte. 22 on Schelter Road. We will run shuttle buses to and from the Quill parking lots throughout the evening. Please plan to arrive with enough time to walk to class or ride the shuttle bus.
Please note that on the days after each Open House (Aug. 25 and Sept. 2), we have scheduled late arrivals (classes beginning at 10:30 a.m.).

Some key points:
** Peak Times: Congestion on campus is at its peak from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., so please plan accordingly.
** Bus Info: A link including all bus routes and stops is available on the Stevenson website.
** Drop-off/Pick-up: It is preferred that students take the district-provided transportation (buses) to and from campus each day to lessen traffic on campus. However, we understand that some families prefer to drop students off and/or pick students up each day. Our traffic flow will be slightly different in the mornings and afternoons. In the morning, parents may drop students in Lot B and Lot D after 7:15 a.m., utilizing the bus lanes. In the afternoon, parents may pick up students in Lot B and Lot E after 3:15 p.m.
** Student Parking: Senior students who have pre-purchased term parking will be assigned a numbered parking spot in either Lot D or E. All student parking spaces are painted with white lines. (Staff spots are painted with yellow lines.)
** Visitor Parking: If you are visiting campus and need to park, there are marked visitor spots in Lot B (East and South in Lot B), D and E.
