coming soon… our patriot wellness center!
Pardon our dust! It has been nearly two years in the making, but we are so excited to share that the Patriot Wellness Center, formerly known as the second East Building Addition, is so very close to being completed! And we expect those doors to open to our students by the beginning of the school year!
The Patriot Wellness Center’s ultimate purpose is to empower our growing student population to embrace their wellness journey and the five pillars of wellness: mindset, sleep, nutrition, movement and stress management. With this in mind, we have a second exciting announcement to share: the addition of our new Wellness Coordinator Alex Stoller!
Alex most recently served in a consulting role at Stevenson and provided guidance on how to integrate wellness principles into the teaching and learning experience. We’re so grateful and excited to have him officially join our team in this capacity and to continue to build on our wellness initiatives.
We have more exciting information to share with you in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to “Summer @ Stevenson” to follow along in our journey!

Climate Change Is Forcing Schools To Close Early For ‘Heat Days’
In regions where extreme heat was once rare, schools now periodically find their buildings unbearable. Schools are using double the number of heat days compared with a decade ago, a study found. With no air conditioning and no money to install it, districts are sending students home.
