Guitar Heroes! Stevenson Jams Out At Fall Guitar Concert
Stevenson’s guitar classes showed off some strumming genius on Thursday at their Fall Guitar Concert in the West Auditorium.
A total of 102 students from Guitar 1, Guitar 2, and Patriot Guitar Ensemble, put together a nearly 45-minute set for listeners to enjoy that included popular pieces such as “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne, “Kiss From A Rose,” by Seal, “Hotel California,” by Don Henley and The Eagles and “Here Comes The Sun,” by George Harrison and The Beatles.
Green Light Now Given To Update Your Notability App
The issues from earlier this week with the Notability App have now been resolved and, as explained in the e-mail you received from Stevenson at 6 a.m. today, it is now OK to update your Notability App to version 11.0.1. To view the step-by-step process to update your iPad to 11.0.1, please click here. If you experience any issues with the update process, please visit the SMARTdesk with your iPad. The SMARTdesk, in Room 3014 in the Link between the two buildings, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on regular school days and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on late arrival days.
Gamers Invited To Commander Legends Sealed Event
Join the Interactive Gamers Club after school tomorrow in Room 7116 for a Commander Legends Sealed Event. Students will receive 6 packs to open and can then make a deck. All participants must be able to stay until 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10 and students may use their student IDs to pay. New players are always welcome. Seniors: Spirit Wear Is Here And Ready For Pick-Up!
Hey Seniors! You’re about to get a “Patriot-ic” upgrade to your wardrobe. Your Senior Spirit Wear is here and will be distributed in the Peer Helper Lounge (Room 1123G), starting tomorrow. Here are all the days and times for pick-up:
Tomorrow: 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Friday: During all lunch periods, 11:10 a.m. to 1:41 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 11: 7:30-8:30 a.m
Monday, Nov. 15: During all lunch periods, 11:40 a.m. to 1:53 p.m.
To provide an additional reminder, e-mails will be sent to all those who have ordered Spirit Wear.
Class Of 2022: Order Cap And Gowns Online By Saturday
Hey Seniors! Graduation 2022 will be here before you know it! Just a reminder that Stevenson, along with graduation partner Jostens, is already preparing for cap and gown orders. Sports Awards Night Coming Up
Stevenson fans and athletes and coaches, don’t forget to save the date for Stevenson’s fall athletic awards celebration. The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 in the Sportscenter.
Student Test Scores In Illinois Plummet, Offering First Measure Of The Pandemic’s Impact
Far fewer students tested at grade level this spring than two years ago before the pandemic. Public school enrollment also is down statewide.
As a counselor and coach with the nonprofit Communities In Schools, Chicago native Diamond Howard helped students navigate remote learning, and continues to support them now. But the trauma that students have endured concerns her, especially as she knows firsthand how the feeling of being disconnected can lead young people off track.
