Steven Student Named Distinguished Young Women of Illinois
We are so proud to announce that Senior Rosie Wang is the 2021 Distinguished Young Woman of Illinois! Rosie, a talented flautist, will represent Illinois to participate in the national program at Mobile Alabama next year along with 49 outstanding young ladies from other states. Notable alumnae of this organization include Diane Sawyer, Mary Fran and other accomplished women.
Rosie is the fourth consecutive Patriot to receive this recognition, following Katie Qu, Dora Guo, and Emily Kang. Congratulations, Rosie!

Mark Your Calendars: Virtual Open House in One Week!
This year, Stevenson’s annual Family Open House Nights will be held virtually on Thursday, Aug. 26 and Wednesday, Sept. 1. Each of these events will begin at 6:15 p.m. for freshmen and transfer students and families and at 7 p.m. for all other students and families.
During these events, parents will have the opportunity to meet their student’s teachers and Student Support Team (SST) members, learn about our curriculum, and showcase many of the resources we offer to improve your Stevenson experience. All information and Zoom links will be posted to the Virtual Open House web page. We look forward to seeing all of our students and families there!

Freshmen, We are On!
Freshmen, it’s time to dance through the decades! Join us for one of our marquee Freshman Mentor Program events, the Freshman Mixer sponsored in part by the Patriot Parent Association!
The Freshman Mixer will take place tomorrow from 7-9 p.m. on the Pool Patio! You can enter and exit the event by going through the Circle Drive entrance and making your way there. Please note that this is a “lock-in” event, meaning students should plan to stay for the entirety of the event. Admission is free, just bring your ID.

Update on Sports Boosters Membership
With the first fall athletic competitions around the corner, we wanted to share some information regarding Sports Booster membership passes. We are currently working with a ticketing platform to provide electronic membership passes. We hope to share information on how to access your electronic membership in the next few days.
In the event that the platform is not ready for the first home football game on Friday, Aug. 27, we will provide hard ticket passes that can be picked up at Sports Boosters membership tents outside the admission gates. Any membership passes that are not redeemed on this night will be sent out in the mail the following week. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
