Football Season Opener is Tonight!
Tonight’s football season opener against Maine South is a clash of two of the state’s top programs, with a combined 67 IHSA playoff appearances. Join us in cheering on our football team tonight at at the Stadium here on campus! The JV game kicks off at 5 p.m., with the varsity game set to start at 7:30 p.m. Remember that admission is free for all.
Per our Patriot tradition, several home football games are themed to drive excitement and school spirit. We encourage students and families attending the game tonight to wear white to help bring the hype and cheer on our football team!
Parking is available in Lots E, D, C and B. Overflow parking is also available in the Quill Corporation parking lot at 100 Schelter Rd. We hope to see all our Patriot families at the game later tonight!

StreetFest is Back!
A huge thank you to everyone who has participated in our StreetFest Wellness Week events so far. To close out the week, we look forward to today’s lunch event, “Making Lemonade Out of Lemons.” We also encourage students to stop by the Wellness Table at the football game later tonight and enjoy wellness activities and swag!
And don’t forget that we are capping Wellness Week tomorrow at StreetFest! The event is set to occur in the SHS parking lot E (near the Stadium) from 5-9 p.m. There is a $10 suggested donation for this event that will have fireworks, live stage performances, interactive games, food trucks and activities from various Stevenson clubs and community agencies that all work diligently to support wellness!
Donations made throughout the month of August will benefit the wellness-based agencies of Elyssa’s MissionRainbows for All ChildrenShelter Inc. and Loving without LimitsDonate through the Patriot Superstore. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing everyone there!

Get Live Entertainment Production Experience!
SHS-TV and DJ clubs have their first meeting this Monday at 3:30 p.m. in Room 1204, and then will meet every Monday after that. Join the fun and learn how to create broadcasts and streams of some of SHS’s most popular events like Showcase, Mr. SHS, football, soccer, volleyball and more! No experience needed.

Make a Sports Medicine Clinic Appointment
We have partnered with Advocate Medical Group in Lincolnshire for a Saturday morning Sports Medicine Walk-In Clinic, which runs every Saturday 8-10 a.m. starting tomorrow through Oct. 23. The clinic is walk-in only, so no appointment is needed. Any athlete who needs an evaluation and treatment of an injury is welcome. In addition to consultations, the clinic offers digital x-ray, bracing, casting and splinting available. You can visit the clinic at 100 Village Green Drive, Suite #120, in Lincolnshire.

Need to refresh your Stevenson Athletic gear? Sports Boosters is holding their annual Flash Sale on Wednesday, Sept. 1 from 4:15-6 p.m. at the Southwest Gate of the Stevenson Stadium. All forms of payment are accepted!

Athletics Results
Boys Golf
The boys varsity golf team lost to Lake Forest @ Lake Bluff Golf Course, 149 – 159. Senior Eli Goldes was low with a 39. The team travels to Rolling Green Country Club on Monday for the Hersey Invitational.

Girls Golf
Stevenson opened up their NSC play with a win against Lake Forest at Cranes Landing. Stevenson shot a 156 with Junior Allie Santos taking medalist honors with an even 35. Other contributors for the Patriots were Sophomore Rylie Pryor (40), Freshman Allyson Duan (40), Senior Emily Duan (41) and Senior Amrita Johar (41). Next week the Patriots will attend the Conway Farms Varsity Invitational with NSC action continuing against Mundelein on Tuesday.

Boys Soccer
The Patriots scored two goals in the first half of their game against McHenry. Nazar Mormul opened with a solo shot, and Adam Hamad closed out the half with a goal of his own. In the second half, the Patriots scored three more goals in the last five minutes by Maksym Derhachov, assisted by Kohei Mori, Adam Hamad goal, assisted by Kohei Mori, and Filip Janda goal, assisted by Steven Nyc. The Patriots return to action on Saturday at Vernon Hills High School at 10 a.m.

Boys Cross Country
In the Patriots opening home meet, the team placed third among five teams. Sophomores Dylan Zimmerman, Alan Dragunsky, Andrew Brandt and Sean Moriarty placed 14th, 15th, 21st & 22nd, respectively, while Junior Siddarth Paleati placed 20th. The squad travels to Waukegan on Wednesday for the Lake County Invitational.

Girls Cross Country
Girls Cross Country opened the season with two wins over Highland Park and Buffalo Grove. The Patriots were led by Adeline Gobble, with a winning time of 19:29. Additional top 10 finishes include Nanoko Seki (2nd), Shannon Moser, (4th) Anna Edgcomb (5th), Isabel Edgcomb (7th) and Sophia Tagiurov (9th). The squad travels to Waukegan on Wednesday for the Lake County Invitational.

Girls Swim and Dive
The Girls Swim and Drive program opens up the 2021 campaign with a visit to the Lake Forest Natatorium as they compete in the Lake Forest Invitational tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. Click here for the Daily Herald preview of the Lake County swim/dive programs.
