Stories of Stevenson: Featuring Amal Naqvi
Introducing Stories of Stevenson, a new series featuring students, faculty and staff who inspire us everyday. You can find Stories of Stevenson each month in the Daily Digest, Facebook, Instagram and the internal monitors around school!
Check out our first-ever Story of Stevenson, featuring Senior Amal Naqvi! As president of Peer Helpers, she hopes to inspire other students to talk more openly about mental health, especially after such a difficult year during the pandemic. As part of that, Peer Helpers and NHS are hosting the school’s first-ever StreetFest Wellness Week next week, where students will learn not only how to improve their personal mental health but how to be there for someone else, too.
“There is a stigma to mental health, so it’s something that’s really neglected in society. I want other students to know that, regardless of what’s going on in your life, there’s always help and there’s always hope.”
You can check out her whole story on Facebook and Instagram.
