Announcing Stevenson’s Daily Digest: Special Editions
While the Daily Digest usually goes on hiatus over the breaks, this summer, we will be distributing special editions of the Daily Digest for athletics! Given that we still have nine more sports teams competing until mid-June, we want to be sure that our entire Stevenson community stays up-to-date on our amazing athletes. Individual portraits from your picture day are now available to view and order online. Please use the link and instructions below to access your photos:

  2. Select “View now” on the green Sports Team & Individual tile.
  3. Select your school year and team name (individual images will appear in the gallery under your team name).
  4. Follow the instructions to select your package or products and enter your information.

A Look Ahead at IHSA Postseason Competition
Stevenson hosts its final wrestling match of the 2020-21 season tonight as Jacobs and McHenry visit the Stevenson Stadium for a 5 p.m. start, weather permitting. If the match is moved inside to the Sportscenter, it will start at 6 p.m.
Boys volleyball begins postseason play tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Glenbrook South. Spectators are welcome, and the price for admission is $5.00 at the gate.

Recent Athletics Results
Boys Tennis
With a team score of 26, Stevenson defeated the field to win the IHSA Sectional and advance two doubles and two singles entries to the IHSA State Finals this week. Eric Perkowski defeated Barrington’s Pranav Gadiraju-Barr, 6-3, 6-3 to capture the Singles Title. Ashvath Madhushankar defeated Deven Carse from Barrington, 7-5, 7-6 to take third place. In the Doubles bracket, Payton Adkisson and Daniel Tulchinskiy defeated Paik/Wazir from Barrington, 6-4, 6-3 for the Sectional Championship and Gabriel Visotsky/Ervin Perkowski took third in a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Mills/Shroff from Barrington. Seeds for the IHSA State Finals come out this evening, and play begins on Thursday at 8 a.m. Stevenson’s VHAC courts are being used in this year’s tournament for Thursday matches only. All other matches will be played at District 214 courts. Friday’s matches will be played at Hersey, Buffalo Grove, Palatine, Wheeling, Rolling Meadows, and Fremd, with Hersey and Buffalo Grove the hosts for Saturday play. Baseball
Both teams were strong on the mound, but Prospect was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a 3-2 victory over the Patriots on Monday in the Regional Final game. Daniel Cabrales started the game for the Patriots and recorded 12 outs. Cabrales started the game for Stevenson. The southpaw went four innings, allowing two runs on five hits and striking out five. Ethan Ge took the loss for the Patriots. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out two and walking one. The Patriots launched one home run on the day when Benji Ries went yard in the fifth inning. The Patriots end their season with a 15-13-1 overall record and 8-6 in the North Suburban Conference.

Girls Lacrosse
In Sectional Quarterfinal action, the Girls Lacrosse (11-3) team defeated Warren Township 16-3 to advance to the Semifinal matchup. They will go up against the Wildcats from Libertyville on Wednesday, June 9, at 4:30 p.m. at the Stevenson Stadium. Advance tickets can be purchased here for $5 or at the gate. The game can also be viewed on the NFHS Network.

Boys Lacrosse
A 12-10 loss to Palatine ended the season for the Boys Lacrosse team. After spotting the host Pirates six goals in the first half, the Patriots fought back but couldn’t overcome the early deficit. The program finished the season with an overall record of 7-8.

Girls Soccer
Stevenson (14-3-1, 6-1) defeated Mount Prospect High School 4-1 in the regional championship. Senior Abby Kalou scored 3 goals during the match. Kalou’s first goal came early in the first half and was assisted by Gabi Nyc. Brynn Stein added a goal, assisted by Alyssa Bende. Kalou scored the Patriots third goal of the first half, assisted by Ella Hong. Kalou added another goal in the second half, assisted by Elli Pease. This is the third year in a row the Patriots have taken the regional title. Stevenson will continue their playoff run at Warren Township High School tonight at 6 p.m.
