District Approves New Contracts With Major Vendors
The District 125 Board of Education on Monday approved new five-year contracts with two of the school’s major partners, Sodexo and Siemens. Sodexo provides cafeteria, custodial and maintenance services to Stevenson, along with grounds management of the campus and Vernon Hills Athletic Complex. Siemens, meanwhile, maintains the school’s heating, air conditioning and ventilation system.

Sodexo’s relationship with Stevenson dates back to 1987, when it was hired to provide food services. Siemens is a more recent partner, coming aboard in 2010 in place of Johnson Controls.

Restaurant, Supermarket Gift Cards Rule Online Auction

Proceeds will benefit the following Stevenson groups: the SHS Foundation, Band and Color Guard Parents Organization, Choral Guild, National Honor Society, Special Education Community Board, String Parents Association and Sports Boosters.

Stevenson Included in Village of Buffalo Grove App

The app includes links to selected Stevenson information pulled from the school’s website. The school is working on its own app.

Christopher Steele Foundation Thanks SHS
Ellen Steele, executive director of the Christopher Steele Foundation, wrote a letter of thanks to the SHS community for its support of the organization during September’s Spirit Fest. The event raised more than $21,000 for the foundation, which is named for the Class of 2000 member who died from a rare form of brain cancer.
